Parent Coaching

If you are worried about where to start in supporting your child's thinking skills, or struggling to choose the right provider to add to your child's already busy schedule, I have good news for you…we can start with YOU!

You are the most important influence in your child's developing executive function (EF) skills. The strategies you model and incorporate in daily activities make a world of difference.

Oof, this can feel overwhelming – but it doesn't have to be!

Parent coaching gives you the support, tools, and confidence to guide your child's developing cognitive skills. We provide specific strategies, share the evidence behind why the strategies work, and discuss specific ways to implement at home and in school.

Cognitive SLP collaborates with you to address your primary concerns, whether that be learning how to support your child's developing attention, memory, and EF skills, or reviewing neuropsychology reports and making a game plan for talking with school teams (see: School Re-entry). We are here to support you!

Our individualized parent coaching sessions will help you:

  • Learn how to create opportunities to practice EF skills throughout the day

  • Understand how to incorporate EF strategies into daily routines

  • Gain confidence in your ability to support your child's developing EF system

  • Receive ongoing support and specialized guidance from an SLP/CBIS

  • See (and feel!) progress in real time interactions, on a daily basis

Our goal is to get your questions answered and empower you to take the next steps to support your child with ease and confidence.

"Wanting to help our child without having the proper background left us anxious. When Jenny came highly recommended by a trusted advisor we felt we were on a good path to success. We see great progress and are relieved by our son’s happiness that recovery is possible."

What Clients Are Saying

"My favorite part about working with Jenny was her excellent communication skills, not just with the family but with the school (including wrangling a team approach)."

- Parent

"Jenny will impart wisdom and knowledge she learned through her education and experience, instead of assuming it's over your head or not for you to know. We gained a friend and advocate."
